Jennifer Maddox Pazian

On September 27, 2015 Jennifer, 67 returned to her Lord Jesus Christ. Jennifer battled cancer for a long while, but cancer could not win. Jennifer was vibrant and alive during her time on Earth, her positive attitude encouraged those around her, her smile lit up the room, her laughter warmed the hearts of everyone she encountered. Jennifer told us “everything would be ok” and it is. She gained eternity; cancer never stood a chance. Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Henrietta Maddox, and son, Scott Stephen Pazian. She is survived by her children, Kristin P. Anthony of Huntsville, Alabama, Stephen E. Pazian Jr. of Athens, GA, her caregiver until her passing and her fraternal grandchildren Morgan Brown Anthony and Brandon Maddox Anthony, as well as, her sisters Sharon Childers of Greensboro, GA, Freda Baird of Eatonton, GA, and Stephen E. Pazian Sr., father to her children.

Raised in Athens, Georgia, Jennifer was voted an Atlanta Channel 11 girl in the late 1960s and went on to become a flight attendant for United Airlines based in Miami, FL and Chicago, IL. Jennifer was a devout Christian who, like her father and mother, loved God and family, Atlanta Braves baseball and the Georgia Bulldogs football team. Jennifer was a kindhearted and generous woman who loved Christmas and her beloved Maltese, Sammy.

Jennifer will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens, GA. A Graveside service will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 with Reverend John Walker of Beech Haven Baptist Church officiating for family. A Memorial Service for Jennifer will be held at 11AM at Beech Haven Baptist immediately following the graveside service.

The family is requesting donations made in honor of Jennifer to Beech Haven Baptist Church at 2390 West Broad Street in Athens, GA 30606. Flowers will be received at Bernstein Funeral Home at 3195 Atlanta Highway, Athens, GA 30606.
