Mr. Barrett was born September 14, 1958, a son of Richard and Virginia Barrett. He founded Barrett Trucking with Sara Barrett in 1995. They then founded Barrett’s Towing in December 1999 and successfully built the business together for 16 years.
Mr. Barrett was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Barrett.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife of 30 years, Sara Lovern Barrett; daughter, Jennifer Mize (Jason); son, Kamdin Barrett; grandsons, Tyler and Trey Mize; brother, Richard Doug Barrett (Imelda); sister, Melissa McDaniel (Steve) and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 29 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. Kent Barrett and Rev. Lonnie Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 28 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
