My thoughts and prayers go out to you Angie. I have many fond memories of the many years joyce and I worked together at Usda, Russell Research Center. Loved keeping up with her travels after she retired.  She was so proud of you and all you accomplished. May God be with you in the days ahead.

I enjoyed quite a number of years traveling through out the States with a group of genealogists.  I first met Joyce on those trips.  She was the “ life of the party” on those many long bus trips led by a college history professor in Alabama.  Through the years I always looked forward to her posts & our chatter on Facebook and keeping updated on her travels, family and fur babies.  Joyce will be missed.  

We always had such fun on our genealogy trips. Such a funny lady.

I am so saddened to learn of Joyce's passing. She was such a lively bon vivant who lived and enjoyed life to the fullest. I really enjoyed her humor and am so sorry that she, who always lit up the company that she kept, is no longer part of our lives. She will be so missed. My condolences to her family in this sad loss.

Joyce was a friend since elementary school in Bogart. We all remain friends throughout the years until presence day. She will be missed at our monthly luncheons. 
A trouper she was   Enjoyed life to the fullest.

Karla & Family, we were so saddened to hear of the loss of your dear sister. It is our prayer God give all of you comfort, peace and the strength you need  in the days ahead. The healing has been done and now she can celebrate and rejoice with all of her friends and family that have gone on before her. 
 

I may or may not have known Joyce before this occasion but that's not relevant.  What is relevant is that there is probably "strangers" in the world but Joyce NEVER met one!  She visited my home with James Bell on one of their genealogy searches.  A group of us rode ATV's  all over the area visiting cemeteries.   At  other times she, James, & June Elder brought  Varsity food ( dessert provided by neighbor, Pattie) and we "dined" on our porch.  Joyce was also  a member in good standing of what we call "The Pea/Bean Shelling Club".......Joyce, James,  June, neighbors Pattie & Rick Wardell......who gathered again on our porch to shell & talk & rock away the afternoon.  May God comfort, strengthen, & bless Joyce's family & extended family as He blessed us by allowing  Joyce to skip across our lives!

Joyce was my aunt.  Not by blood but by love.  Even after she no longer OFFICIALLY had that title - she was still my aunt.  Joyce  made sure that as a young adult - I knew she loved me.  Joyce was unique in a way that only  Joyce could be.  She could laugh, and scold, and talk like no other aunt.  She gave me my first wine cooler after a vicious jellyfish attack and she did her best to nurse me back to health.   Diet Dr. Pepper and PB&J will never taste as good as it did with her that summer at the beach.  Priceless memories.   Joyce will be missed!!. 

What an incredible and energetic lady... I got to know Joyce when her precious daughter and grandson were my neighbors in Douglasville, Ga. Joyce would visit them often and was always a joy to share stories with. She was a true GA Bulldog fan and loved her pups! We shared something in common, we are SURVIVORS and never gave up!!! I enjoyed her journeys and loved her beautiful pictures! She was one of a kind and the humor will be missed!!! I know she’s on a different journey now and there is much to see! I will miss you and the laughter you gave us! 

I did not know her personally, but on FB. I always enjoyed the jokes and story she shared.  I watched her adventures with James Bell and could see how close friends they were.  She will be missed.
