Born in Atlanta, Joyce was a daughter of the late Clyde W. Lambert, Sr. and Leora Tucker Lambert. She had retired from work as a research lab technician for the United States Department of Agriculture in Athens.
Joyce was a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Elijah Clarke Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy Laura Rutherford Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Colonists Bartram Trail Chapter, and National Society United States Daughters of 1812 General John Baytop Scott Chapter. She loved genealogy and was a member of COGS (Clarke Oconee Genealogy Society). Joyce was also a member of the Fast Break Club and adored her UGA Lady Dogs and watching them play basketball.
Survivors include daughter, Angela Priebel (Michael) of Apollo Beach, FL; brother, Buddy Lambert (Cathy) of Odenton, MD; sister, Karla Hulsey (Steve) of Bogart; grandson, Jeffrey Krukoski of Apollo Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Joyce is also survived by the many friends who loved her dearly. All will miss her smiles, laughter and most of all, her humor. Joyce loved to travel with her best friend James Bell. She’s off now on her next grand and glorious adventure.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25 at 2 p.m. at Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Davison officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m., prior to the service.
