

Ken was born on November 23, 1965, in Athens, Georgia to Dr. Augustus Kenneth Williams who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture at the Richard Russell Research Center in Athens and Dr. Joy Porter Williams, who was a microbiology professor and later the Associate Director of UGA’s Honors Program at the University of Georgia.
Upon graduating from Clarke Central High School in Athens Georgia in 1983, Ken served in the United States Army from 1983 to 1986 under the 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized) where he worked as a helicopter airframe technician reaching rank of SP4. He later went onto work for the Walton County Board of Commissioners in the IT department where he proudly served the Walton County and its citizens for over 20 years.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Elena Williams, daughter Natalia (Natasha) Joy Williams, sister-in-law Sally Pat Williams, niece Beth Prabhakar and family, nephew Bruce “Winn” Williams; brother-in-law Evgeny Drozhanov and family and his cousins: Donald and Diane Porter, Cecil Williamson, Shari Jung and Robert M. Wood and Marc Porter.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, sister Joy Elaine Williams, and brother Bruce Edwin Williams.
Mr. Williams enjoyed spending time with his family & friends, playing guitar, building computers, traveling and movies. His biggest passion was his daughter, Natasha who he often told proud fatherly stories of her exploits.
Ken brought a unique perspective to the world and his love, friendship and insights on life will be missed.
