Our baby boy Marlo was born still weighing 6 lbs., 13 oz. at 12:53am on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in Athens, GA. At full term, Marlo had done all of his growing. He had a full head of hair mingled brown and blonde, adorable elf ears, and long feet that had always poked his mom’s left side in the womb. He was loved immediately by everyone he met, including the wonderful labor and delivery nursing team at Piedmont Hospital. Now we see him everywhere: in the warm, bright green breezes and cool, refreshing rains of spring, in the flight and song of birds, and in the will to always improve and become something new.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to the A Bench for Marlo fund, which will help pay the donor and dedication costs for a memorial bench on the University of Georgia’s beautiful campus in Marlo’s honor:
