Martha Olivia Patrick

A native of Athens, Mrs. Patrick was the daughter of the late James and Edith Wood Day and was preceded in death by her husband, James Gordon Patrick; brothers, Steve Day and John Thomas Day, and sister, Ouida Day. She was a retired preschool teacher with Bethel United Methodist Church and a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Survivors include sons, Michael Patrick and wife, Lola of Spartanburg, SC and Bill Patrick and wife, Kathy of Bristow, VA; brothers, James “Bo” Day of Atlanta and Bill Day of Dallas, TX; sisters, Mary Griggs of Athens, Judy Warren of Chapel Hill, NC, Debbie Day of Chapel Hill, NC, and Cindy Ross of Stone Mountain, and grandchildren, Lauren Patrick, Michael Patrick, Jon Patrick, and Will Patrick.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Thursday, September 5th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev Angelia Price officiating. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Wednesday, Sept 4th at Bernstein.
