A native of Winder, Georgia, Mrs. Lester was the daughter of the late George and Nellie Skinner Dunagan and was preceded in death by her husband, John W (Bill) Lester. She retired from General Times after 30 years and was a member of West End Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter, Cheryl Wooliscroft and husband, Terry of Carrollton, TX; sons, Jim Duncan and wife, Lynda of Anderson, SC and David Lester of Atlanta, GA; sister, Marie Bowman of Winder; grandchildren, Lindsey Wooliscroft, Todd Duncan, Craig Duncan, Chad Duncan, Will Lester, and Molly Lester; great-grandchildren, Dalton Duncan, Jim Duncan, and Jacob Duncan.
Funeral services will be held 3PM Friday, September 16th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Thursday, September 15th at Bernstein.
