

Mrs. Zittrouer was the daughter of the late Robert King White and Nell Rogers White, born on April 25, 1928. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years at the time, Henry Lovick Zittrouer Jr., in 2011.
She is survived by her son, John David Zittrouer and wife, Peggy, of Charlotte, NC; two grandsons, David Lovick Zittrouer and wife, Kelsey, of Charlotte, NC and Stephen Taylor Zittrouer and wife, Mandy, of Dayton, OH. She was also blessed with and cherished her three great-grandsons, Henry, Jack and Miles.
Mrs. Zittrouer graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS degree in elementary education and was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a member of Athens First United Methodist Church where she attended the Pacesetters class. While living for a short time in Clyo, GA (near Savannah), she was an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Effingham County and a Paul Harris Fellow. She was also active in the Georgia Salzburger Society and the Effingham Historical Society.
Graveside services will be at Oconee Hill Cemetery at 12:00 noon, on Friday, February 6, 2026, with the Rev. Dr. Nancy Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives following the service at The Sexton’s House in Oconee Hill Cemetery.
