Naomi Jeanette Eidson

A native of Macoupin County, IL, Mrs. Eidson was the daughter of the late William A. Griffel and Hannah Adams Griffel. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd Shade, in 1989. Mrs. Eidson retired from MJM Electric and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Hugh Eidson of Athens; daughter, Vicki Lewis (George) of Athens; step-daughter, Laura Hamling (Jeff) of Roswell; step-son, Lee Eidson of Woodstock; sister, Helen Coonrod of Carlinville, IL, grandchildren, Joshua W. Lewis of Athens, Kathleen (Romie) Williams of Athens, Kathryn (Scott) Mulkey of Roswell, John Caleb Eidson of Lebanon, PA, Jeffrey Coe Hamling, III (Caulie) of Roswell, Alison O’Connell (Chris) of Roswell, Andy Eidson of Lebanon, PA, and Mallory Eidson of Grafton, WI, and 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

A memorial service will be held 2PM Sunday, August 2nd at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. A reception will follow the service at the church.

The family would like to thank all the ladies of Angela’s Caregivers for their love and support during Mrs. Eidson’s recent illness.
