Patricia Keller of Athens, GA passed peacefully on May 14, 2025. She was born October 3, 1947. Daughter of the late Dr. Paul Keller, Jr. and Saidee Hodgson Keller, she attended Athens High School and graduated from the University of Georgia.
Pat was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority at UGA and moved to Atlanta, GA and then Charlotte, NC after college where she taught middle school and was a Real Estate Appraiser. Pat moved back to Athens in 1997 and worked at Spencer’s Jewelers and then worked for Athens Regional First Care for approximately 13 years before retiring.
In her retirement, Pat enjoyed walking and visiting with her friends and family. She also loved going on trips with her sisters and cousins.
Pat was a member of St. James Church and part of their “Women of Faith” ministry. She will be remembered most by her wonderful “heart hugs” and love of God that she shared with everyone she met. She was always grateful to everyone and would tell people what an awesome job they were doing every chance she had.
She is survived by her siblings: Dr. Alex P. Keller, III (Marty) of Athens, Susanne Chastain (Woody) of Athens; along with her nieces: Kelley Chastain Barks (Cole), Melaney Chastain Perno (David); and nephews: Dr. Andy Keller IV, Michael Keller; great nieces and nephews: Keller and Woody Barks, Saidee and Hayes Perno and Liam Keller.
The family would like to thank caregiver, Holly Crymes and the Presbyterian Village Memory Care staff for taking such good care of Pat the past few years. They would also like to thank Chaplain Christin Norman and her staff as Pat enjoyed Sunday service at PV and would “never miss church.”
A private service will be held at the Presbyterian Village Chapel, 1400 Live Oak Lane, Bldg. 100, Athens, GA 30606, on Wednesday, May 21, at 3 p.m., and the family will receive friends in the Presbyterian Village atrium from 4-5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Church at https://sjathens.org/give-online or Presbyterian Village at https://www.phgainc.org/caring-hands-fund/give-now/
