Mr. Easter was the son of the late Walter Clarence Easter and Hazel Watkins Easter. Born in Fort Worth, TX, he spent his childhood in Midland, TX. While a student at Texas Tech University, he met and married his wife, Anne. After moving to Odessa, his career included various management positions in the oil and gas services industry. He was a member of the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang and the Odessa American Legion. He was an avid skeet shooter, enjoyed flying, golfing and motocross racing.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Anne Easter of Athens, formerly of Odessa, TX; daughter, Kerrie Preston and husband, Robert, of Fort Worth, TX and Kim Noland and husband, Tee, of Athens, GA; three grandchildren, Mary Abbott, Caroline and Trip.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 2 at 11 a.m. at Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens, GA. A reception will be held at his daughter Kim’s house, following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1720 Epps Bridge Parkway, Suite 108-383, Athens, GA 30606.
