Tony,
     We served together on Ike. You were a good shipmate and I am proud to call you brother. May your loved ones know you served with honor and distinction. The OI brotherhood speaks of you often, as you touched many of our lives. You are loved, remembered, and missed. Fair Winds and Following Seas, my brother. We have the watch.

Wow.. This is unbelievable. I was a patient of Anthony's.. Dr Tony.. I send my condolences to his family & friends. He was a great help to me in my time of need. He was always patient & kind with great stories to tell.  May his soul rest in peace.

I miss you. You were not only my son, but a best friend. I was proud to be your father. I was never prouder of you than the day you received your Doctor of Chiropractor and when you opened up your own practise. I know that it was not easy, but you did it! I will love you and miss you the rest of my life. Rest in peace my son.

To my Dear Friend Sandy, 

I am really sorry for the loss of your son, Tony.   God knew Tony was suffering, He knew he was in pain; He knew he would never be happy here on earth again.  He saw Tony's road was getting rough and hills were hard to climb.

It broke your heart to lose him, but he didn't go alone, for part of you went with him the day God called Tony home. He lived his life and done his best. So can you take a step beyond and set his spirit free.  I know you're sad and hurt because I see your tears.  

Tony will not be far, and I hope 
you'll know that his spirit and love will be close to you, wherever you are.  Be thankful for the years you had and the love you shared.  Tony truly loved you, and because you care so much for him you must let him go.

May You Rest in peace Tony.

Dear Sandy and Family,  I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved son.  Although I never met Tony I know in my heart he was a caring, loving person.  Before I began to write what I hope is inspirational I read what others have said about Tony.  I hope you take comfort in the words of others who have also lost loved ones or just love you enough to feel your pain and offer you comfort in their words.  We ask "why"  sometimes answers never come or simply are not enough to understand God's actions on why He called Tony home when He did.  As a parent we are taught that we should pass before our children, so when the inexplicable happens there is no answer that will satisfy the pain and emptiness we feel.  I hope in time you will know that God has His reasons for calling Tony home when He did.  As time passess the pain diminishes. Although it never quite goes away and there will always be a void in your heart, but the day will come when you will be able to remember all of the good times, the laughs shared, the kind words spoken without the pain that is searing through your heart now.  Stand fast and take comfort in His wisdom and remember you are very much loved by family and friends alike.  I pray God continues to bless you during this hour.

I am so sorry and saddened to learn of your loss. I know how proud you are of Tony and he will be missed. Seek the Lord and allow Him to comfort you in this time of sorrow. I was sadden in hearing the news of Tony's homegoing. You shared many wonderful stories of his life. God will keep you and your family through this difficult time. Call on God and he will hear you. May the peace of God be with you.

Dear Joe, Tony was a gift in your life and the lives of the many people who found healing in his skilled and caring hands.  I am grateful for his service to our nation in the United States Navy.  Few people are willing to answer the call to defend our nation's freedom, and Tony's service in that most honored capacity is a testimony to his character as a man of courage and conviction.  To further dedicate one's life to the healing of others speaks volumes of an individual who cared deeply for his fellow humanity and wished to alleviate suffering and restore wholeness to those in pain.  I cannot image the sorrow that you feel in the loss of your son.  I only hope that with time your own pain will be healed by the memories of a fine, honorable, and caring man.

In this time of sorrow for you, I am sending you my deepest sympathies. As a mother, I understand that you must mourn, but you must also set boundaries to your mourning. To not mourn at all, or to plunge into an abyss of grief and remain trapped on its bottom--both these extremes are detrimental, both to the living and to the soul of the departed. Mourning is a show of respect to the departed and to your son's place in your lives, as well as a crucial stage in the healing of those who experienced the loss. But the soul of the departed does not desire that those remaining in this world remain paralyzed by grief. On the contrary, the soul's greatest benefit comes from its loved ones' return to active, even joyous life, in which their feelings of love and veneration translate into deeds that honor the departed soul and attest to its continuing influence in our world.
May the light of God be always with you and your family especially in this time of sorrow. 
May God's spirit manifest in you and give you strength and support to withstand this difficult test of life.

My Dear Sandy & Family,
Even though I did not know your son personally, to suffer a loss of this magnitude is truly a loss to the world and to us all. You shared with me his successes, his ups and his downs. Tony lived a happy and joyful life because of his success, accomplishments and will to live life to the fullest and making a positive difference in peoples lives one person at a time while helping the sick or discomforting to get well and keep well.  He was able to live to see the growth and joys of his family.  Although the loss is devastating, you all will have many good memories to cherish forever.

You all will gather to celebrate the life of dear Anthony H. Staiano and friend in Christ, and while this may be a sad event to those that touched his heart, it’s also not a strange phenomenon to us all. Our Lord touched Tony and he slept… as he said suffer no more and come join your father here in heaven. “Peace Be Still Tony… I have prepared a place for you; I will come again and receive you unto myself… That where I am, there you may be also!”

We all have suffered a loss at one time or another, the agonizing ordeal of losing a loved one. However, we must not grieve… For grief is not necessary. God teaches us that flesh is grass; and all the glory of man is as the flower. Grass withers, and flowers fade away...but a man that dieth in the Lord passes from death into eternal life, and so it is with your beloved son… He closed his eyes and responded to God’s call… slipping quietly away from this life, with a silenced voice and sealed lips … Perhaps leaving most of you to wonder… Why? But as you wonder, force yourselves to… Remember the cheerful and loving friend and brother…and last but not least… Remember the son that shared your joys and your laughter as well as your misfortunes and your tears throughout his life… Remember the young but wise man who died as he lived, placing concerns for others before his own… Remember what Jesus said, “I’ll be back in a little while, son… I’m alright, all’s well.” How can we forget!
 
I thought that I would share these words with you, your family, and friends, to show how dear to my heart anyone that suffers a loss, of a bright child means to me. 
Your son is in heaven now, his pain and suffering is over, every restless tossing passed...He is at peace with his soul forever... safely home at last!

I’ll always remember hearing his voice on his final day as he remained in his mother’s comfort. What a joy to have comfort from those that love you the most!

Tony’s last words were of forgiveness and comfort from family in his time of need. You’ll always be his heroes and his spirit will live on through the lives of the people with whom he touched.
