

Barbara Bramwell Jolly passed away March 1, 2018 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born October 7, 1939 in Schenectady, New York, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Grace Bramwell. Barbara graduated from St. Lawrence University and enjoyed a brief career teaching English Literature. She and her husband had numerous corporate relocations, but after living in Atlanta for many years, she was proud to call it home. In addition to being a loving mother, she enjoyed volunteering her services, traveling, cooking as well as golf, tennis, art, books, and music. Barbara was a proponent of exercise, an early adopter of Jackie Sorenson’s Aerobic dancing discipline, and taught classes for over 25 years. Well known for her sense of humor, she was always able to find the positive side of life, which was very much appreciated by her family and friends. Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wayne L. Jolly; son, Christopher Jolly, his wife Jennifer, grandson, London Jolly, daughter, Erika Jolly Brookes and her husband David. She is also survived by her brother, Robert B. Bramwell, sister in law Joyce as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held March 16, 2018 at 10 AM at the Cathedral of Christ the King 2699 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30305. Interment will be later at Arlington Memorial Park 201 Mt. Vernon Hwy. NW, Sandy Springs, Georgia 30328.
