Caro was born on January 16th, 1998 in Chicago. She was the second child of Bertha Espinoza and Trinidad Almanza, and pillar in her family. Caro is survived by her parents and siblings, Natalie, Brittany and Moises. She is lovingly remembered by her boyfriend Salvador Salinas.
Caro survived challenges in her childhood that were well beyond her years. She stepped up as a leader and carried heavy responsibilities, but she was proud of her personal history because it
made her resilient. Despite the struggle, she was grateful for her family and the life events that made her a strong woman with a huge heart.
Being a foster child, she learned independence at a young age. She worked three jobs in high school while being a keystone member in her community. She enjoyed volunteering, singing, and making others laugh. She was kind and gracious to all who came in contact with her. She could make friends with everybody, especially with the underdogs who might have been misunderstood.
Caro loved helping others, and she was determined to accomplish her goals. She was a student with a full time job, with the hopes of becoming a nurse. She didn't want others to suffer, and she was deeply sensitive and empathic.
Going to Mexico, visiting farms, and being in nature brought her so much joy. She sought solace in animals and she loved them so much that she refused to eat them. She especially adored her baby Pancake. He was like her child and she was a very caring mother to him.
Carolina's number one wish was to have a big family, and to build a connection with her relatives. She craved community and was very hopeful of bringing her family together.
Our girl was fearless. Our girl was brave. Our girl was pure love.
She was gone far too soon, but she lives on in all of our hearts and memories.
