Celeste Pickron

Celeste Pickron of Atlanta passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011. Celeste is survived by her daughter Helen Pashos Pickron and her spouse, Michael L. Pashos.

Celeste was born in Columbus, GA and attended The University of Alabama where she received a B.S., with Honors, and then attended The University of Alabama School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif. She also received a LL.M with honors from Georgetown University Law Center.

Celeste was a practicing Tax Attorney with the Law Firm of Sutherland, Asbill and Brennan in Atlanta. Celeste was previously an attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service in Washington DC and Atlanta. She has taught as an adjunct professor at Emory University’s graduate tax program. Celeste was a member of the Alabama, District of Columbia and Georgia Bar. Celeste was a former Board Member of the Atlanta Women’s Foundation and continued to actively participate in its charitable programs.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 29 at 2:00 pm at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3003 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta, GA 30327. A reception will follow the Service in Williams Hall.
