Christopher Daniel Puckett

Mr. Christopher Daniel Puckett age 50 of Atlanta passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021. He was born at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri to Mr. Paola Puckett and Mrs. Lou (Matthews) Puckett. Chris and his sister Kim spent time growing up in Germany where their father was stationed in the Army before settling in Mount Airy, North Carolina where Christopher spent his formative years.

Christopher will be remembered for being an accomplished musician, singer and performer. After attending UNC - Greensboro where he majored in Voice and Euphonium he went on to sing at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City where he was the youngest tenor to join the Met chorus. His number one love was music. In addition to the opera he had a passion for theater and Broadway performing in many musicals. He also enjoyed teaching and served as a vocal coach in NYC to several student singers. He was very creative and produced and performed his own solo cabarets at the Duplex Theater in New York. In 2002 he released an album entitled "The Promise of Happiness." Christopher would always light up the room with his energy and passion.

He met his husband Peter while living in New York City. They moved together to Atlanta in 2008. Here he spent his time taking care of Peter as well as their two dogs Sydney and Mabel. He was a great chef and enjoyed cooking and hosting for friends and family. He loved nature and enjoyed the time spent at their mountain cabin in Big Canoe. He will be remembered for being always full of life and love.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4 pm Sunday, November 14, 2021 from HM Patterson Oglethorpe Hill Chapel. Family will receive friends from 3 pm till 4 pm at HM Patterson & Sons Oglethorpe Hill.
