Demetrios Chris Macris of Atlanta died January 26, 2011. He was the Original "Eye in the Sky" Traffic Monitor flying his airplane out of Charlie Brown Field. He was a Veteran of the Naval Air Force, a graduate of Georgia Military Academy (now Woodruff Academy), a graduate of Georgia State University and was for many years as a broker with Capital Investments. Surviving are his wife, Celeste Macris; sisters, Catherine Macris; Barbara Darby and Sophia Alexandrides and brother-in-law, Dr. Costas Alexandrides, numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends Friday evening January 28 from 5:30 until 7 with Prayers being said at 7. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 29 at 1 o'clock at The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, 2500 Clairmont Road, NE Atlanta 30328.
