Eileen was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence F. Mosher of Hillsdale, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Edward Corrigan, Sr., infant granddaughter, Claire Marie Corrigan and brother, Samuel A. Mosher.
Her life exemplified her values: love for her family, faith, hard work, perseverance, wit, determination and tenacity. She always carried herself with uncompromising grace and elegance.
Eileen left Michigan as a young teenager and made her home with her uncle and aunt, Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence A. Mosher in Roswell, Ga. She immediately attended St. Agnes Junior College for girls in Baltimore, Md. and later joined the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corp at St. Joseph’s Infirmary School of Nursing in Atlanta.
At the age of 39, the death of her beloved husband thrust the responsibility of caring for their five children onto her young shoulders. She provided for her children by working as a private duty nurse at Piedmont Hospital, and later as the Director of Nursing at Kingsford Inn. For years, Eileen was an active member of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Women’s Auxiliary, the St. Gerard’s Circle and the Legacy Ladies of Brookwood Hills.
In 1974 she founded the company named Professional Registry for the Northside, Inc. (PRN) a nurses’ registry and staffing company with her friend and business associate Martha Blackwell. PRN has provided personalized nursing care to Atlantans for 40 years.
The nurses of PRN dedicated loving and compassionate care to Eileen during these final months. The family will be forever grateful to: Arnetta McMichael Climpson, Gladys Hester, Margaret Mitchell, Anita Stinson, Roberta Strout, Debbie Brown, Jewel Coleman and Joyce Sligh.
