Mrs. Elena Flaquer Quinones passed on April 13, 2016 in Decatur. A native of Santiago de Cuba and graduate of the Escuela Normal para Maestros de Oriente where she developed her life-long love of teaching, which brought her great joy. Preceded by her husband Pedro P. Quinones, MD. Also sisters Nieves Soulary, Julia Flaquer, and Hilda Perez. Survivors include her sister Olga Flaquer. Also, children Pete Quinones and Helen Marie Quinones Greeson. Also, grandchildren Megan, Matthew, Evan, and Julia Quinones, son-in-law Mathew Greeson and daughter-in-law Michelle Quinones. Funeral mass Monday, April 18 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 2855 Briarcliff Road, NE, Atlanta, GA.
