Eric Thomas Heider

Eric, was born on May 25th, 1982 in Richmond, Virginia. He graduated from Young Harris College in 2002 and continued his education at the University of West Georgia graduating Suma Cum Laude with a degree in Finance in 2004. Eric was employed by The Federal Reserve Bank as a Senior Bank Examiner for the past eleven years.

Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Mary Heider of Carroll, Iowa and his maternal grandparents Daniel and Dorothy McKenzie of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and uncles John and Mike Heider.

Eric is survived in death by his parents, Tom and Helen Heider; his sister, Caitlin Morris; brother-in-law, Travis Morris; and beloved niece and nephew, Haley and Hunter Morris.

Eric fiercely loved his niece and nephew, family, and friends. He made an instant impact on everyone who met him. Eric lived a full and vibrant life. He loved to travel the world and experience all life had to offer. He was an avid sports fan and loved to support his favorite Atlanta teams and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Visitation, Celebration of Life, and reception will be held at H.M. Patterson and Son-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM with memorial services and reception immediately following.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Most Merciful Jesus Catholic Church in Madison, AL, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Huntsville Memorial Gardens.
