Dr. Ray Griner of Atlanta died August 26, 2013. Dr. Griner served his country in the South Pacific during WW II as captain, he received his veterinarian degree in the inaugural class at the University of Georgia in 1950; and was the owner of Atlanta Pet Hospital. Survivors include his children, Gerri Joan Chason(Tommy), Les Griner and Ann Shreve; granddaughter, Helena Shreve and step-grandchildren, John Chason, Blair Chason and Lori King; sister, Emily Bonner. Graveside service for Dr. Griner will be held Wednesday, August 28 at 2 o’clock at Decatur City Cemetery with Dr. James Lamkin officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Northside Drive Baptist Church, 3100 Northside Drive SW, Atlanta, GA 30305.
