Frank Russell Walker was born on March 1, 1934 and passed away on July 1, 2016. A native of Atlanta, Frank attended grammar school and one year of high school in West End. Later, Frank moved with his parents to a new home in Dunwoody on approximately 10 acres. In 1952, he graduated from Chamblee High School and attended Emory-at Oxford for 1 and a half years. After 3 years in the U.S. Army in Military Police Company in Italy, he returned to attend Georgia State College. Upon his move to Dunwoody in 1949, his parents, sister and he joined Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon and among other things kept the minutes of the meetings. In the years ahead, Frank became an Elder which involved bookkeeping duties for a number of years for the church pre-school. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Laura (Robert) Frantz and granddaughter Beth, Son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Steven R. Walker and sister, Ms. Mary Elizabeth Huxtable of Las Vegas. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church Music Department.
