Frankie Mae Bryan, of Atlanta, passed away on August 19, 2013. Born in Gillsville, GA on August 24, 1917 to Elizabeth and Cornelius Hawkins, she was a devout member of Peachtree Corners Presbyterian for over 65 years. She worked as the first Dietician for the DeKalb County School district at Cary Reynolds elementary. Frankie was an avid gardener and showed her love by cooking for people. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Russell and Margaret Schick; grandchildren, Cameron Russell, Robert and Johnathan Schick; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bryan and her son, James O. Bryan. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Dr. John Cook officiating. Interment will follow at North Atlanta Memorial Park.
