Gayle Ann York

Gayle Ann York, age 56, passed away on April 4, 2015 as a result of cancer. She is survived by her loving family: older sister Sharon Vipond, twin brother Timothy York, brother-in-law James Vipond, and sister-in-law Deborah Lubin York. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Rudolph and Beatrice York of Baltimore, Maryland, and her beloved husband, Robert Perillo. Gayle was a talented and experienced makeup artist, and while residing in Manhattan, held esteemed positions at Saks, Bloomingdales, and the famed Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon. She later began a free-lance business and did makeup for hundreds of well-known politicians and celebrities. She moved to Atlanta after the death of her husband, and resumed her successful career. Gayle was a member of the Church of the Apostles and was deeply faithful. She delighted in performing faithless works of charity and helping those less fortunate than herself. Gayle will be missed. A Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-8 PM at H. M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, Ga. 30319. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday at the same location. Gayle will be laid to rest in NJ with her husband. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the charity of each person’s choice in memory of Gayle.
