

Gerald (Jerry) Anthony Cicero, 74, of Atlanta passed away January 5, 2011. His wife, Susan and daughter, Kellie, were at his bedside. Jerry is survived by Susan Cicero, his wife of 30 years, daughters Kimberly Kolodziejski (Chris) and Kellie Acosta (partner Kim Wallace), grandchildren Christo and Marcus Acosta and Michael, Krystyn, and Brice Kolodziejski, great grandchild, Camlo Acosta, sister, Audrey (Jim) Kasparek, mother-in-law, Martha Starner, brother-in-law, Tim (Carol) Starner, and nieces Lisa and Carol Kasparek and Christine Dennis. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Anthony and Della Cicero (nee Baldasso). Jerry was born June 18, 1936, and lived the first 50 years of his life in Chicago. He graduated from St Ignatius College Prep in 1953 and from John Carroll University in 1957. He was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the army in 1958 and, after leaving the service, spent his entire career in the finance and brokerage business. Jerry was an avid golfer, a consummate Italian cook, a passionate movie critic, and a rabid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan…he never lost hope! Jerry had a marvelous voice and read weekly for the blind with Georgia Radio Reading Services for the past 10 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at All Saints Catholic Church. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, January 9, from 5pm to 7pm at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta Ga., 30319. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 19th at 2pm at All Saints Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Assistance League of Atlanta, 3534 Broad Street, Chamblee, Georgia, 30341.
