Gertrude Martin Greene

Trudy Martin Greene died December 3, 2016 at age 85. She was the widow of Thaddeus Gilmore Greene III. She was the daughter of the late Dr. William Owen Martin, Jr. and Gertrude Harris Martin. She was a graduate of the Spence School in New York City where she was president of her senior class and in the glee club. She was a graduate of Vassar College. She was an active lifelong communicant of The Cathedral of Christ The King Catholic Church and was retired from real estate. She is survived by sons George Harris Greene and his wife Sandra and Michael Gilmore Greene and his wife Lisa. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Pamela Holloway and husband Daniel, Sarah Ward and husband Michael, Timothy Davis Greene, Mary Catherine Greene, Danielle Lynn Greene, Michelle Linda Greene and Michael Robert Greene, and great grandsons, Ryann Alexander Greene and Grayson Ward, and great granddaughter, Hannah Catherine Holloway. Also surviving are her brother Dr. W.O. Martin, III and wife Ann, and Sister Jane Martin Oglesby and husband Lamar and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass to be celebrated at The Cathedral of Christ The King on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a private inurnment at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements by H.M. Patterson & Son, Spring Hill.
