
James Parran Jarboe, Jr., a resident of Atlanta, Georgia, died peacefully August 5, 2011 at Hospice Atlanta after a courageous and defying battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by his family. James was born June 26, 1944 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota; he was raised in LaPlata, Maryland, and graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens. He worked as a stock broker in Atlanta and then in the medical malpractice insurance industry. James was the oldest of two sons, born to the late Dr. James P. Jarboe, Sr. and Rebecca Jarboe, 93 years old. James will be forever lovingly remembered by his mother, Rebecca, his devoted brother, Joseph, beloved children Wynne Harpenau, Jeffrey Jarboe and Josh Jarboe, his former wife and mother to his children, Anne Wynne Jarboe, along with his loving grandchildren Hayes and Lolo Harpenau, and countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. James brought fun, adventure, generosity and a light heart to the many lives he touched. He was amazingly strong and maintained his optimism and humor all the way to the end. He loved fishing, cigars, and the Georgia Bulldogs. He will be missed. To God be the Glory!
