Jerry Ray Smith

Born to Edward Smith and Dorothy Miller Smith on December 10th, 1938, Jerry was married to Dorothy Ann “Dottie” Smith, his 3rd grade sweetheart. Both graduated from Chamblee High School Class of 1957, and were married for 65 years.

Jerry was an extremely successful business entrepreneur - the founder of House of Wigs, owner of Feminique Apparel Boutique, CEO of Classic Laboratories Cosmetics and Beauty products, co-owner of Jerdot, Inc &; Jerdot-Smith, LLC

Jerry was a faithful, supportive, and long-time member of Chamblee First United Methodist Church. He co-founded “The Bow Tie Society”, as well as participating in numerous other charities and fund-raising efforts.

Jerry was preceded in death by great-grandparents, George Miller and Amanda Miller; grandparents Jesse Miller and Lora Mae Miller; parents, Edward Smith and Dorothy Miller Smith; sister, Joan Lester; brother, Ronnie Smith; and his beloved wife, Dorothy “Dottie” Smith.

Jerry is survived by his son, Jerald “Scott” Smith; his daughter-In-law, Jessica Giraldo-Lopez Smith; his beautiful granddaughter, Leah Lynn Smith; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation for Jerry will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at H.M. Patterson & Son – Oglethorpe Hill. A committal service will follow at 1:00 PM at Prospect Cemetery in Chamblee.

Everyone who knew Jerry loved him and were drawn by his charismatic demeanor. He had the gift to help others become their best self. He will be greatly missed.
