She was a special lady. Kind to children like my Morgan, who once referred to her as a Barbie doll. Morgan thought highly of Mrs. Bradshaw, as did I. We were guests in her home where she amazed us with her harp and hospitality. I’ve thought about her many times since leaving Atlanta. I know she will be missed by many but may they be comforted in knowing she is with her Father and many other loved ones!

I knew Miss Joanne, her mother and father, and her grandfather. What a wonderful family! I live in Henderson, TN, where Freed-Hardeman is located. I received several nice handwritten letters from her in recent years. She was a gracious, wonderful Christian lady. When our daughter lived in Atlanta, she was very kind to her and had her in her home. She was an encourager of good works. She will be missed.

It has been my privilege to know this great and godly lady. She was a Christian first of all. Her grandfather was long-time preacher and President of Freed-Hardeman College (University). She loved her heritage and honored it by the life she lived. She loved the church and promoted it at every turn. I will hold our friendship in highest esteem all my days. With her passing heaven becomes ever sweeter. Attached is her loving grandparents, N.B. & Jo Hardeman

I have fond memories of sharing the joy of harp music with Joanne at our most recent harp chapter concert and again at the lovely dinners for her alma mater at her club. She shared the beautiful Hardeman March with me. Joanne was a wonderful, sweet person, and it was an honor to know her.

Like Amy said, Joanne was like a mother to many! She even told our daughter, Allison, to call her “Big Mama”! I loved her humor and will always cherish her friendship. I have many wonderful memories of her!

Sending condolences and prayers for comfort and peace to the whole Bradshaw family as you grieve Miss Joanne's passing. She was a faithful sister in Christ, a friend, a wonderful hostess, a mentor, and someone who was like another mother to me (Amy) during the years I lived in Atlanta, GA, and worshipped at Chestnut Drive Church of Christ (1998-2001).
