

Dr. John O. Wilson, Jr. of Delmar Gardens, Smyrna, GA, died Tuesday, March 12th at the age of 92. Dr. Wilson was born October 20, 1920, and raised in Spartanburg, SC. He graduated from Wofford College in 1941 and Emory University School of Dentistry in 1944. Serving as Lieutenant in the Navy during WWII, he retired as a Captain in the Reserves. Dr. Wilson practiced dentistry in Atlanta for thirty-five years and lectured both nationally and internationally. He was a charter member of Buckhead Rotary and active in many professional organizations. He served as General Chairman of the Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting, Past President of the Fifth District Dental Society and the Northern District Dental Society. He was also a founding member and Past President of the Georgia Academy of Dental Practice, Charter member and Past President of American Academy of Dental Practice Administration, and Founder and Board of Director of the L. D. Panky Foundation. He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years, Camille C. Wilson, and survived by his daughter, Camille N. Wright and son-in-law Dr. George E. Wright.
