Joseph Humphrey Kiely

Joseph Humphrey Kiely, Sr., 65, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Saturday, October 1 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 24, 1951 in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Joseph is survived by his wife Holly; his daughter Amanda Lake, her husband Jacob and their daughter, Mary Ellen Lake; his two sons, Joseph Jr., his wife Deirdre and their daughters Jane and Brett, and Timothy and his wife Hailey; his sister Kaedy and his three brothers Leo, Graves and Frank. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Judith and William Leo II. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and friend. Joseph spent over 20 years as a corporate executive leading teams at Sara Lee and Campbell’s Soup. He was an experienced sailor, passionate musician, proud member of Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Club and the Wharton Follies, and most importantly, an exceptional father and grandfather. A viewing will be held at H.M. Patterson and Son – Spring Hill Chapel in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday, October 6 from 5-7 p.m. His funeral will take place at Cathedral of Christ the King on Friday, October 7 at 1:30 p.m. Donations can be made to Boston Community Boating in his memory (www.community-boating.org).
