

She was born in Beech Island, South Carolina to James and Charlotte McElmurray. She attended Brenau Academy where she studied vocal performance followed by Rollins College where she majored in art and later pursued a career as an artist.
Julia was a member of First Methodist Church before transferring her letter to Northside Methodist. She spent countless hours volunteering with Meals on Wheels Atlanta and was a "pink lady" at Piedmont Hospital. She enjoyed two bridge clubs and was an active member of Peachtree Golf Club and Capital City Club.
An avid golfer, Julia will be remembered for her love of the game as much as her competitive nature and was happiest on the golf course surrounded by friends.
Survivors include Susan Reddic Blalock of Atlanta, Debbie Reddic McElmoyle (David) of Atlanta, Carroll Lockman Reddic (Tracey) of Columbia, SC, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Northside United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Two O’clock in the afternoon. A visitation will be held immediately following the service at the church.
