

Julianne Whiting Fish Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, great and trusted friend, business woman Longtime resident of Metro Atlanta, Julianne Whiting Fish passed away on Friday. She was a devoted wife to Charles (Chuck) Fish and a wonderful, supportive and encouraging mother to her children, Deming Fish, Lorri Fish Byrnes and Stephen Fish. She was also the loving grandmother to her six grandchildren, Austin Fish, Devin Fish Hill, Nick Parker, Matt Parker, Kaitlin Fish and Ryan Fish and sister to, Florence Findlay , Orlando, FL, Ruth Clubreth of Cairo, GA , Euncie Renshaw of Las Vegas, NV. Julie was born on January 28, 1933 and grew up in Camilla, Georgia and attended Mitchel/Baker High School. She met her husband Chuck in Albany, Georgia while he was stationed at Turner Air Force Base and they were married a year later. After being married in Albany, the couple moved to Wichita, Kansas for Chuck to finish school at Wichita University. Julie worked at GMAC to help support she and Chuck as he finished his studies. When they moved back to Georgia from time in Kansas and New Orleans, Julie became a full time stay at home Mom who volunteered when her children were young at Murphey Candler Baseball as team mom for her children’s teams and for 5 years, running the concession stands for the Park. Once her children were in college she moved back into the business world, first as a sales assistant, then as a sales representative for the OC Tanner Company, where in her late blooming career, she won numerous awards for her sales efforts, until her retirement. Upon retirement she and Chuck pursued their love of travel, planning and taking trips and cruises all over the world. She had a passion for gardening, cooking and loved reading. Julie had a grand spirit for life and a strong, personal faith. She loved her family, encouraged them every day and lived by her advice to “always do your best and the rest will take care of itself.” She was a very strong woman who battled a series of illnesses over the past 18 months, ever fighting to come back. She was planning their next trip the week she passed away, always looking forward. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 4 from 11:30AM-1:00 PM at Peachtree Rd. United Methodist Church with the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
