Linda Sue Harris

Born in Gainesville, Georgia, on May 14, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Gilbert Shirley and Clara Bell Shirley.

Linda attended Sylvan Hills High School and worked for over 40 years as a bookkeeper in the plumbing field for Stasco Mechanical Contractors. She cherished her farm and animals in Crawfordville, which held a special place in her heart, surpassed only by her love for her family.

Passionate about cooking, Linda enjoyed baking treats for her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Robert Michael Harris; her brothers, Lewis Gilbert Shirley and James Milton Shirley; and her sister, Regina Ann Longabaugh (John H. Longabaugh). Additionally, she is survived by her nieces and nephews: Lauren Dean Mosley (Curtis), Rhonda Ellington (James), Sonya Queen (Dennis), Patricia Shirley, and Priscilla Shirley, along with her great-nieces, Hannah Arnette (Patrick) and Emma Kate Ellington; her great-nephew, Russell Shirley; and her great-grandniece, Ava James Arnette.

Her services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on November 2, 2024, at H.M. Patterson & Son - Oglethorpe Hill , located at 4550 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30319. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Linda was a wonderful spirit and will be dearly missed by her family and loved ones.
