Louise Kuker Freeman

Louise Kuker Freeman peacefully passed away in the presence of family on October 2, 2013. A 50 year resident of Atlanta, Mrs. Freeman was proud to say that she was born in Florence, South Carolina to Theodore John Kuker and Nell Montgomery Kuker. She was a graduate of Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Mrs. Freeman was a true Southern lady; beautiful, charismatic, gracious. Her sparkling ocean-blue eyes were unforgettable. Mrs. Freeman was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church for 50 years, serving on various committees. She was the founding chair of the Visions Luncheon benefiting the Center for the Visually Impaired, and was a member of Primrose Garden Club. Family was her greatest source of pride and joy, and she enthusiastically celebrated every occasion and milestone. She cherished the time she spent with her family at her parents’ oceanfront home in Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Freeman was predeceased by her first husband William C. Robinson and her husband of 45 years, Richard A. Freeman, a Hall of Fame bridge player. In 1961 they won the Mixed Board-a-Match Team National Bridge Championship. Together they traveled the world extensively. Mrs. Freeman is survived by her loving and devoted daughters Nell K. Robinson of Smyrna; Libby (Elizabeth F.) Goetz (husband Wade) of Atlanta; her grandchildren Ralson (Wade H.) Goetz, Jr. (wife Kimberley) of Atlanta and Lissy (Sarah E.L.) Goetz of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Visitation will be on Monday, October 7, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at H.M. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, 1020 Spring Street NW, Atlanta 30309. A celebration of Louise Freeman’s Life will be on Tuesday, October 8, at 2 p.m. with reception following at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3003 Howell Mill Road, NW, Atlanta, GA 30327.
