Lynda was born on June 18, 1955, on Long Island, NY to Santina Prestia Olivari and Philip Charles Olivari. She was born into a large Italian-American family where she had a happy childhood surrounded by her five siblings, whom she adored. After graduating from Uniondale High School, she relocated to Florida with her family. There, she met and married the love of her life and forever beach partner, Carl Edward “Ed” Perry, Jr. on December 16, 1978. She had three daughters, for whom she did everything to give the happiest childhood. From homeroom mom to being their biggest cheerleader in sports, Lynda was the epitome of unconditional love and support for them. She worked as a successful realtor in Chattanooga, TN before moving to the Atlanta area to be near her children and grandchildren.
Lynda was a rock to her family, a ray of sunshine, and a friend to everyone she met. Her presence was a comfort to all that loved her and her laugh was contagious. She gave the best hugs. She truly loved being a wife and mom, but there was nothing that she coveted more than being Nonna to her grandbabies. As she always told them, she loves them to the moon and the stars.
Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, Santina and Philip, her brother, Philip Jr.; her in- laws, Carl and Ruth Perry. Lynda is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Ed; her children, Shanon Perry (Chamblee, GA), Lauryn Perry (Chamblee, GA), Lyndsey and Tim Jones (Brookhaven, GA) as well as her beloved grandchildren, Olivia, Emma, and Conrad Jones. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Rosemary and Joseph Iocco, Bill and Linda Olivari, John and Katie Olivari, Phyllis and Luke Valente, and Thomas Olivari; her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Williams and Judy Scouten in addition to many nieces and nephews.
Lynda’s family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks and love to Dr. Stephen Szabo for his unwavering care throughout her journey as well as the nursing team at the Emory infusion lab for their kindness and support.
