Margaret Mary D’Alessandro, age 94, passed away suddenly on July 29, 2024, in her apartment in Atlanta, GA. She is survived by her sons Peter and Richard D’Alessandro, daughter-in-law Susan E. Beggan, and many nieces, nephews, and their spouses. She was preceded in death by her loving, dedicated, and faithful husband, William John D’Alessandro, her parents Antimo and Amelia Mary Caparco, and her siblings Angelo, Carmela, Gerald, Joseph, Antoinette, and Mary Ann. She also leaves behind her caregiver Tiffany and others from Golden Homes Services and friends and caring staff from the Renaissance on Peachtree assisted living facility.
Marge was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and married Bill in November 1957. They soon moved to East Brunswick, NJ where they raised their sons. Marge took care of the house, did the bills, and was a fantastic cook. She enjoyed listening to music, especially tenors, playing games of all kinds, and was skilled at solving puzzles. She dabbled in art as a young woman, created beautiful ceramics in her middle years, and then revisited her artistic skills in her latter months, creating colorful paintings and crafts. And, she could hold her own in a game of Upwords, even at age 94.
The viewing will be held from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 17, at H.M. Patterson & Son Funeral Home - Oglethorpe Hill Chapel in Brookhaven, GA. The interment follows at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, GA. The family requests those honoring Marge’s life to consider donating to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation in lieu of sending flowers.
