Peggy Buff (Buffie) Duncan passed away peacefully at Emory University Hospital (Atlanta) on Sunday, January 4th, 2015. Peggy was born in Perry, Georgia, and resided in Tyrone Georgia with her family. Peggy graduated from Valdosta State University where she was an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Georgia State University and taught elementary school in the Clayton County School System for thirty three years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norton and Catherine Buff, and her brother, Joe Buff. She is survived by her husband, Bob Duncan, her children Drew Duncan (Ashley Duncan), and Lauren Duncan, her granddaughter Madeline, and her sister, Cathy Speight. The memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday January 10, 2015, at Saint Mathew Catholic Church, 215 Kirkley Road, Tyrone, Georgia 30290. A reception will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
