

Mariana was born in Atlanta to George H. and Catherine G. O'Kelley on November 7th, 1943. Mariana graduated from Georgia State University with a Specialist in Education and was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. Prior to her retirement in 2018, she worked in the Dekalb County school system as a high school geography teacher and, later in life, as a paraprofessional in elementary special education. Mariana enjoyed supporting Native American education initiatives and wildlife conservation efforts. She was a proud Georgia Bulldog.
Mariana is survived by her children (Kelley Frankovitch and Catherine Miller) and her sister (Catherine O'Kelley Wikle).
Mariana will be laid to rest next to her mother and father at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, on May 26th, 2022. Arrangements are by H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Labre Indian School (https://www.stlabre.org/) in Mariana's memory.
Mariana's family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Northside Gwinnett Hospital, Shyra Anderson of H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, Deacon Ed and Margie Patterson of Our Lady of the Assumption Church and the staff at Westview for all of their help and compassion during this difficult time.
