Mary Helen Brown of Atlanta passed away at her residence on November 24. She was 95 years old. Mary Helen was born in Statesville, NC but spent many years of her life in Cary, NC, before moving to Atlanta over 20 years ago to be closer to family. She was a special lady who remained mentally sharp and curious to the end. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzle aficionado and though shy by nature, seemed to make a friend of everyone she met.
She lost the love of her life, her husband Boyce, in 1993 and now will return to Raleigh to be buried with him for eternity. She is survived by two sons, Jeff and David, their wives, Traci and Meg, and three grandchildren, Eric, Melissa and Callie. And countless friends who, like her family, will miss her terribly.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services, just a return trip to Raleigh to be with her beloved Boyce once again.
