Mary Elizabeth Workman McDonald

Mrs. Turner (Mary Elizabeth) McDonald “Grand”, age 101, of Atlanta died Tuesday, November 26, 2013. She was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee then moved to Atlanta in the 1930’s where she attended Oglethorpe University. She was a member of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, involved with the women’s group at Peachtree Rd. UMC, and was involved with the Rabun Gap Guild. Preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Turner McDonald, Mrs. McDonald is survived by her daughter, Catherine McDonald Eckford of Atlanta, grandsons, Arrroll and Beth Eckford, Marshall and Jenny Eckford, Al and Sally Eckford, and 6 great-grandchildren. A funeral is scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11 o’clock at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
