

Mary “Elizabeth” Turner died January 14, 2016. She was 96 years old and lived her entire life in Georgia. She was a true “southern lady.” She was a loving wife and mother. A wonderful southern cook, who loved to entertain and was the perfect hostess. Creating a loving home for her husband and children was very important to her. She loved to sew clothes for her children and won many awards for being an excellent seamstress. She was married for 72 years to William Turner, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Brookhaven Baptist Church and Briarcliff Baptist Church all of her adult life. She worked at Retail Credit and the U.S. Forestry Department as an Administrative Assistant after her two children were in high school. She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Turner Petrucelli and her husband, Tony and her son Douglas Turner and his wife Debbie. Grandchildren, Shelby Rugh and husband Chris; Brian Petrucelli and Deanna Turner. Great Grandchild, Ashton Rugh. She was the oldest of 4 children and was always proud that her father was a trolley conductor in downtown Atlanta. She will be missed by many! Funeral services will be held at H.M. Patterson and Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 2pm. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 17th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
