Myrtle Richards Roebuck October 6, 1916 – December 20, 2014 Myrtle Richards Roebuck passed away peacefully at home on December 20, 2014 at the age of 98. She was the daughter of James Samuel Richards and Ruby McRea Richards. She was born in Marietta and grew up in Atlanta, the second of four daughters. Ms. Myrtle lived in Georgia her whole life. She was the devoted wife of Dorsey T. Roebuck, and mother to Thomas Lee Roebuck and Sharon Roebuck Bower. She loved to cook and was an avid gardener. Throughout her life she remained active in the church. Ms. Myrtle was predeceased by her husband Dorsey; her son Tommy and her three sisters, Florence, Evelyn and Mary. She is survived by her daughter Sharon, as well as three grandchildren, Tricia Roebuck Tavares, Stephanie Roebuck Bolt and Thomas Lee Roebuck, Jr. and five great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Northeast Baptist Church, 4046 Chamblee-Tucker Road, Atlanta, GA 30340. The Reverend Dr. Jim Nelson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northeast Baptist Church.
