Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Nancy moved to the Atlanta area as a young woman and built a life defined by quiet strength, devotion to family, and a deep appreciation for simple joys. She spent ten cherished years by the beach in Fort Myers, Florida, followed by ten years in the mountain community of Ellijay, Georgia, before settling in Chamblee to be closer to her family - her greatest source of pride.
Blessed with a sharp mind for numbers, Nancy worked as a bookkeeper throughout her career, contributing her steadiness and precision to several accounting firms. For the past six and a half years, she served as Accounting Manager at Martenson, Hasbrouck & Simon LLP, where she was valued for her dedication, diligence, and genuine love for her colleagues.
Outside of work, Nancy expressed her creativity as a master quilter and loved to tinker with new recipes in the kitchen. She found peace near the ocean and joy in the companionship of pets. Her beloved beagle, Allie, recently crossed over the rainbow bridge but was her sidekick for many years. Above all else, Nancy was an extraordinary “Granny” to her eight grandchildren, each of whom she treasured deeply and spoke of with endless pride.
Though private by nature, Nancy never met a stranger. She was kind, generous, humble, and deeply compassionate. She lived with a strong work ethic, a modest heart, and a genuine love for the simple things in life.
Nancy is survived by her children, Alison Boyer (Shane), Elaine Evans (Dave), and Stephen Couch (Jamie); her grandchildren, Everett, Miles, and Andie Boyer; Edy and Claire Evans; and Alexis, Lauren, and Chloe Couch. She is also survived by her brother, Randy Rhoden (Renee). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glen “Bud” Brown.
Per her wishes, there will be no formal service. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
