

Nancy Warwick Graves, age 96, passed away on November 22, 2014 in Silver Spring, Maryland. She was the devoted wife of the late Howard Cleaton Graves and took great pride in her work of keeping a warm, loving home in which they raised their family. Born on December 27, 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio, she grew up in Buckhead and attended Girl’s High. She was the granddaughter of James I. Lowry who was sheriff of Fulton County for 22 years from 1916 to 1938. Her faith was very special to her as a member of Haygood Memorial United Methodist Church and the Hillclimbers/Fellowship Sunday School Class. She served as UMW President and was head of the kitchen committee for over 30 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, her parents, Jennie Nancy Lowry Warwick and Robert Evans Warwick and brother, Robert Lowry Warwick of Atlanta, Georgia. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Perrin (Don), of Creve Coeur, Missouri, Pat Kees of Laytonsville, Maryland, and Susan Melton (Jim) of Dallas, Texas. “G-Mama” is loved by seven grandchildren and spouses--Vic Perrin (Marcia), Donna Sarmanian (David), Sandy Merritt (Dallas), Jill Davis, Ryan Kees (Lynley), Andrew Melton (Casey), and Emily Melton. She is also survived by fourteen beloved great grandchildren--Jeff, Katy, Michael, Nicholas, Sammy, Sarah, David, Cortni, Kylie, Joey, Ryley, Gracyn, Walker, Lowry, and great, great grandchild, Austin, and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 10:30 o’clock at Haygood Memorial UMC, 1015 East Rock Springs Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30306. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kitchen Renovation at Haygood Memorial United Methodist Church.
