

Robert H. Forry, esteemed husband, father, grandfather and longtime Atlanta attorney, died after a brief illness on Thursday, December 24, at the age of 68. Mr. Forry graduated from Emory University, where he was student body president, and the University of Virginia School of Law. He returned to Atlanta to practice law with Troutman Sanders for 40 years focusing on electric utility regulatory and legislative matters and corporate transactions. He served as the Chairman of the Administrative Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and was Chief of the Public Law section at Troutman Sanders and a member of their executive committee. In retirement, Mr. Forry relocated to his mountain farm in North Georgia, where he enjoyed his horses and dogs, and frequent family visits and trips. He was predeceased by his wife and lifelong best fried, Dorothy P. Forry, in 2010, and is survived by his son Sam and grandson Jonathan of Washington, DC, daughter, Hadden of Wilson, WY, and brother Sam of Spartanburg, SC. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2 o'clock at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3003 Howell Mill Road, NW Atlanta, GA 30327. The family will receive visitors at a reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain Conservation Trust (www.mctga.org) or the Georgia Justice Project (www.gjp.org).
