

Sarah Thurman Fuller of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June, 8th, 2012, at the age of ninety-four. Sarah was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and spent the majority of her life in the Atlanta area. She attended Girl’s High School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Agnes Scott College. Sarah worked for the government during WWII inspecting defense plants to assure adequate working conditions for women. She married Walter S. Fuller in 1944 and they lived a life dedicated to their family and church for the next sixty-four years. Walter preceded her in death in 2008 at the age of one hundred. Sarah was a member of Druid Hills Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, and Tucker First United Memorial Church in Tucker, Georgia. She is survived by sons Walter S. (Lisa) Fuller Jr. of Huntsville, Utah, Larry N. (Vicki) Fuller, of Townsend, Georgia, grandchildren Zebulon (Carrie) Fuller of New York City, Anna (Justin) McBrayer of Durango, Colorado, and Shannon (Mitch) Ackal of Houston, Texas, and great grandchildren Patrick and Aeneas McBrayer and Parker, Finley, and Annalise Ackal. Sarah travelled frequently to visit her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren until a few months before her death.
Funeral services for Sarah will be held at W.H. Patterson & Sons – Spring Hill Chapel, 1020 Spring Street, Atlanta, on Friday, June 15th at 2:00 p.m., with internment at Westview Cemetery. A visitation will be held at H.M. Patterson & Sons preceding the service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the United Methodist Children’s Fund, P.O.
