Sue Ingram Burns, youngest daughter of Walter and Mildred King Burns, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, November 18, 2017. She was born on June 22, 1936 in Atlanta and was a life-long resident of the Morningside area, having lived in the house her parents bought her entire life. She had many old and new friends who greatly appreciated her vibrant personality and charming genuine southern accent. She attended Morningside Grammar School and Grady High School. Although she really wanted to attend Ole Miss, she bowed to her father’s wishes and graduated from the Atlanta Division of the University of Georgia. Sue was everything a true southern lady should be, charming, vivacious, interested in current events and a helpful and friendly neighbor. She took one disabled neighbor grocery shopping and to doctor appointments for years. She will be greatly missed by a myriad of people. Sue never married so there were no immediate survivors. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11 o’clock at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. Online condolences may be posted at www.hmpattersonspringhill.com
