She was born in Chicago on May 1, 1929, the daughter of William E. and Margaret Fitzgerald Marshall. She married Charles Aloysius Peterson on January 31, 1959 at St. Walter Catholic Church in Roselle. She is survived by her sons Andrew (Debra) and Patrick (Anna), her grandchildren Christopher (Adelaide) Peterson, Katherine (Nicholas) Ercole, Katieanne Peterson, and Nathaniel Peterson, and her great-grandson Walter Peterson. She is also survived by a sister Rosemary Morici and a brother William Marshall (Bonnie). She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, two of her sons, Daniel and Charles, Jr., and siblings Margaret Crabb and James Marshall.
Susanne worked as a medical technologist and homemaker. She served as President of the St. Walter Council of Catholic Women and was the founding President of the Elk Grove chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
A gravesite memorial service was held 1:30 PM Monday September 25, 2023 at St. Michaels the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine IL.
