

William Lang Pottle of Brookhaven, GA died Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was born November 5, 1981, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Bill graduated from the Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He then attended Auburn University, and graduated in 2004 with a BS in Accounting. He completed his Master of Accountancy in 2005 and was a Certified Public Accountant, working at Deloitte as an auditor early in his career. More recently, Bill worked as a financial planning and analysis manager.
Bill was kind and loving, with a memorable and uplifting sense of humor. He was an avid sports fan, who loved watching Auburn football and Carolina basketball. Bill had an impressive knowledge of sports, hosting a sports radio show in college, and an annual March Madness pool that grew in numbers each year. He enjoyed creating brackets even at home, for family games and tournaments. Bill was happiest at home, with his family, and will be remembered for his quick humor and generosity.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Peter Lang Pottle. He is survived by his wife of nine years, Christine; and his son, Palmer Lang Pottle. He is also survived by his mother Patricia Hartnett Pottle, and his sisters Anna Bair Pottle and Jennifer Pottle Curtis (husband, Matt, and daughter, Charlotte).
